Brandenburg Field/Carnie Smith Stadium

With the recent renovation of the east grandstand to include a second deck and luxury suites and the addition of a Field Turf playing surface, Pitt State and Carnie Smith Stadium has established itself as the gem of Division II Football stadiums.

The field was originally named Brandenburg Field after being constructed in 1923 by volunteers.  In 1987, Pitt State announced that the field would continue to carry the name Brandenburg, but the stadium would be renamed to honor long-time coach Carnie Smith.

Under the current configuration, Carnie Smith Stadium features a double deck grandstand on the east side, complete with 16 luxury suites.  The west grandstand is a standard single deck and houses the press box and club seating.  The stadium has 8,343 permanent seats.
