Chuck Broyles

Chuck Broyles has been the head coach at Pittsburg State for the past 17 seasons. Under Broyles' leadership, the Gorillas have made the NCAA Division II playoffs in 14 of those 17 seasons, including a national championship in 1991 and appearances in the championship game in 1992,1995, and 2004.

Broyles is the winningest coach in the Mid America Intercollegiate Athletics Association, with 132 wins and is has won more MIAA Championships (Nine) than any coach in the leagues history. Broyles also has the most wins in PSU history.

As the head coach at Pitt State, Broyles has amassed a 174-36-2 record, including the playoffs. Pitt State is 18-13 in the playoffs under Broyles.

Broyles recently ended his term as Chair of the prestigous  NCAA rules committee and is a voter in the AFCA Football poll as well as district coordinator for the AFCA All-American team.

In addition to head coach and athletic director, Broyles also fills the role of husband, father, and grandfather. He and his wife Helen have three sons, Scott, Kyle, and Mark. Scott and his wife Byrna have three daughters, Ashley, Nicole, and Jenna.
