The Teamkong Scholarship
This website has grown into a large
group of people with a common passion, Pittsburg State
University Football.
Whether you post or just lurk on the message board or read
the articles on the index page, you care deeply about this
football program and its future.
We have done all sorts of things to enhance the gameday
atmosphere in the Jungle, and have brainstormed about a project
for a couple of years and a sound system fund seemed to be
something a large group of people were willing to fund.
But after talking with the Athletic Department it became
apparent a new sound system will be a part of a very large
project down the road.
Q: So what can Teamkongers do to make its mark on Gorilla
Football
A: Endow a scholarship for a Pittsburg State football
player
So Teamkong has signed an agreement with the PSU
Foundation to raise a minimum of $10,000 to fund an on
going scholarship for a PSU Football player.
We were able to set the criteria as follows; an upper
class football player with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Also
preference will be given to a student - athlete who was once a
walk-on.
$10,000 seems like a lot of
money, and it is. But considering TK has over 700 people on the
message board, and twice that number in people who just visit
the site itself.
We need an average of 100
people to donate $100. Many will donate less (whatever you
can affort) and many will donate more.
Your donation is TAX DEDECUTIBLE.
